Space Campers to Talk with Kate Rubins, KG5FYJ, on ISS

Students attending Space Camp at the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, will be treated to an Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) contact with Astronaut Kate Rubins, KG5FYJ, who is onboard the International Space Station.

The contact at 1448 UTC on August 11 will be a telebridge event between OR4ISS and IK1SLD. Direct 2 meter audio on 145.80 MHz should be audible over Italy and adjacent areas. Since 1982, Space Camp has been inspiring people of all ages about space science, space flight, and space exploration. Rubins is among the 750,000 Space Camp graduates worldwide. She arrived on the ISS this summer.

In addition to Space Camp trainees, museum guests will have the opportunity to take part in the activity.
