Jim Snapp, NA0R has stepped down as the Iowa RACES Coordinator at the
Joint Forces Center and the State Emergency Operations Center. He
recommended Iowa Section Emergency Coordinator, Dan Miller, AC0OF to
take his place. Dan received confirmation of that appointment from the
United States Department of Homeland Security. Congratulations, Dan!
I received a request to see if any club, group, organization or
individual in the state of Iowa would be interested in sponsoring,
organizing, implementing and awarding a "Worked All Iowa Counties
Award." It was suggested that the award be available in several
increments leading up to an endorsement for all 99 counties worked.
Please contact me if you're interested.
