ARLB076 Hurricane Erin update
 
Hurricane Erin is expected to hit the lower central east coast of
Florida late Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning.  As of
11:00 AM EDT Tuesday, Erin is a Category 1 hurricane on the
Saffir/Simpson hurricane scale.  Amateurs are advised to monitor
NOAA weather radio for storm coordinates, track and other
information.
 
ARRL Southern Florida Section Manager Robert Van Winkle, AA4HT,
reports that a regional net is in emergency session on 3940 kHz,
with 7247 kHz as a back up.
 
The Hurricane Watch Net is active on 14325 kHz.
 
Amateurs are advised not to transmit on these frequencies unless
directed to do so by Net Control Stations.
