ARLD001 DX news

This week's bulletin was made possible with information provided by
Tedd, KB8NW, the OPDX Bulletin, Paul, KB1BE, Joe, NJ1Q, the Yankee
Clipper Contest Club PacketCluster network and the Contest Corral
Column from the pages of QST magazine. Thanks to all.

MALDIVE ISLANDS. Carlo, I4ALU, was supposed to have been active
until January 6. As of bulletin deadline there were no QSNs for him
on our Connecticut PacketCluster node.

BOTSWANA. Although Dave, A22MN, will move Finland sometime in
February, he continues to concentrate on 160 and 80 meters. QSL via
WA8JOC only. Dave is planning jaunts to OH0, OJ0 and MV Island for
later in the year. If you have already worked him on the low bands,
he requests that you do not call again. He wants to work as many as
possible and he reports working too many repeat callers.

KERMADEC ISLANDS. The DXpedition by Barry, G4MFW/ZS1FJ, has been
canceled.

LEBANON. Timo, OH1NOA, will sign OH1NOA/OD5 until August. He
prefers CW and operates 80 through 10 meters. QSL via OH1MRR.

SOUTH SHETLAND ISLANDS. Andy, SP2GOW, is signing VP8CQS from Smith
Island. Try 80 and 40 meter CW from 2330 and 0300z. QSL via

MACAO. Listen for Noda, JE7RJZ, as XX9TJZ from January 9 to 13.
There have been reports that he will be working through OSCARs 10
and 13. QSL via JA7FWR.

PACIFIC DXPEDITION. Masa, JE1DXC, isn't the only one planning
island hopping. Yoshihiro, JF6BCC, will be on from Saipan, Belau
and possibly Guam beginning in late January. Listen for KH0/KH2GR
January 27 to 29, KC6IY January 29 to February 1 and KH2GR February
2. QSL via JF6BCC.

QSLing the FALKLANDS. Les, VP8CPC, reports that any mail send to
the Falkland Islands ARC should have ''VIA UNITED KINGDOM'' appended
to the address. Without that information added, mail is directed
through Chile and is never received by FIARC. Les handles cards for
many other VP8s. Address cards bound for the Falklands to FIARC,
the Falkland Islands Amateur Radio Club, PO Box 260, MPA - Mount
Pleasant Airport, Falkland Islands VIA UNITED KINGDOM.
