This week's bulletin was made possible with information provided by

PRATAS ISLAND, BV9.  This one will be activated on May 25 by an
international group signing BV9P.  The IOTA designator is AS-110.
Martti, OH2BH, may be one of the operators.
VIETNAM, XV.  Rolf, SM5MX, should be on the air soon as XV7SW from
Hanoi.  Check 1827, 3505 and 7013 kHz for his CW.  QSL to Rolf T.
Salme, Embassy of Sweden, Box 9, Hanoi, Vietnam.
ANGOLA, D2.  D2EV was heard on 14213 kHz around 2300z.  QSL via
DL3KBQ.  Valy, YO3YX, will be on the air as either Y03YX/4U or D2YX
for the next six months.  Check the low end of the CW segments.
SOUTH COOK ISLANDS, ZK1.  Masa, JE1DXC, is now on his third Pacific
DXpedition, operating CW, SSB and RTTY on 80 through 10 meters.  He
will be on Raratonga May 18 to 24.  Then it's off to Fiji.  QSL via
FIJI, 3D2.  Masa will sign 3D2XC May 26 to 29 and plans to be in the
CQ WW WPX Contest.  After the 29th he will move on to Tuvalu.  QSL
via JE1DXC.
TUVALU, T2.  From June 1 to 6, Masa will be on as T20XC.  Before
returning home, he returns to Fiji for more operating as 3D2XC from
June 7 to 11.  QSL via JE1DXC.

ITU HQ GENEVA, 4U. IK1CJO, IK1QBT and I1YRL will activate 4U0ITU on
May 20 and 21 with CW, SSB and RTTY.
LIECHTENSTEIN, HB0.  The Wiesbaden Amateur Radio Club will be active
June 1 to 18, with members signing HB0/DA1WA on all HF bands with CW
and SSB.  US amateurs QSL via KN6G with SASE.  All others QSL via
DJ0LC with IRCs.  Manfred, DL8SET, will be on the air as HB0/DL8SET
May 24 to 28.

network on 14.100 MHz and transmits at minutes 6, 16, 26, 36, 46 and

BAHAMAS, C6.  Bill, KM1E will sign C6AGN until May 24 from Green
Turtle Cay, IOTA NA-080.  Check the IOTA frequencies.
THAILAND, HS.  The Radio Amateur Society of Thailand has been
authorized to use the call sign HS50A for one year beginning this
month to celebrate the 50th year of accession to the throne of King
Bhumiphol Adulayadej, HS1A.
QSL NOTES.  Jose, CT1BOH, reports anyone needing QSL's for PY0FF,
PY0F, HC5M, 4M2BYT, P40E, KP2A, CT3T, CR2A, CQ WW SSB and CW
contests for 1989, 90, 91, 92, 93 and 94, contact him on Internet as
GUANTANAMO BAY, KG4.  Ken, KG4MN, aka VP9MN, has been QRV since May
11 and should remain on Cuba for the next two years.  He likes the
WARC bands and CW.  QSL via WB2YQH.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  The 50 MHz section of the ARRL Spring
Sprints is from 2300z May 20 to 0300z May 21.  Exchange grid square

The 46th annual Armed Forces Day will be on May 20 and 21.  Full
information regarding a variety of events can be found on page 138
in May QST.
The Michigan QSO Party, sponsored by the Oak Park ARC, is from 1800z
May 20 to 0300 May 21 and 1100 May 21 to 0200 May 22.  Exchange
signal report, QSO number and state, province or DXCC country.
Michigan stations will send their county in lieu of
state/province/DXCC country.
