This week's bulletin was made possible with information provided by
Tedd, KB8NW, the OPDX Bulletin, The Daily DX and Contest Corral from
QST.  Thanks to all.

GUINEA, 3X.  Karel, ON4QY, will be signing 3XY2A from Conakry for
the next few years.  He has been spotted on 21275 kHz between 1630
and 1930z.  QSL to home call.

JOHNSTON ISLAND, KH3.  Bill, NH6D, will be back on Johnston Island
until August 27.  He is hoping to be active on 160, 80, 40, 17 and
12 meters.

AFRICA TOUR.  Charlie, W0YG, will be active once again from Africa,
starting September 1.  Look for him on CW on 12, 17 and 30 meters
from South Africa, ZS; Namibia, V5; Botswana, A2; and Zimbabwe, Z2.
His South African call sign is ZS6YG.  All QSLs must go direct or
via the WF5E QSL Service.

SVALBARD, JW.  Look for Juergen, DJ3KR, to be QRV as JW/DJ3KR, from
August 28 to September 1.  He will be mostly on the higher bands as
the radar causes heavy QRM below 14 MHz.

GREENLAND, OX.  Joergen, OZ8AE, will sign OX/OZ8AE from Groennedal
from September 4 to October 5.  Activity will be on all bands CW.
QSL to OZ8AE direct or via the bureau.

SURINAME, PZ.  Bob, K3BYV, signing PZ5DX, was very active this past
week.  His activity was mainly on 15 and 10 meter SSB at 1430 and
1800z.  QSL to home call.

MADEIRA ISLANDS, CT3.  Moreira, CT1AHU, plans to be active as
CT3/CT1AHU from August 26 to September 9.  QSL to home call.

MOLDOVA, ER.  Look for special event station ER27A to be active in
celebration of the Independence of Moldova, until the end of the
month.  QSL via ER1DA, Valery Metaxa, PO Box 9537, Kishinev,
MD-2071, MOLDOVA.

TURKEY, TA3.  Ahmet, TA3/DL7JAK, has been very active on CW near the
earthquake area.

IRAQ, YI.  YI1AK, YI1FLY and YI1SEA have been very active on 15
meter SSB between 1000 and 1400z.

SAC TIME CHANGE.  The operating times for the Scandinavian
Activities Contest have been changed to 1200z Saturday to 1200z
Sunday, for both weekends.

THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  The TOEC WW Grid Contest, CW, SCC RTTY
Championship, and South Dakota, Hawaii and Ohio QSO Parties are all
on tap for this weekend.  Please see August QST, pages 91 and 92 for
details.
