This week's bulletin was made possible with info provided by Art,
W6XD, Bob, WB2DIN, the OPDX Bulletin, the BARF-80 BBS, Tedd, KB8NW,
the Yankee Clipper Contest Club PacketCluster network and Contest
Corral from QST.  Thanks to all.

HEARD ISLAND DXPEDITION UPDATE.  This operation remains on schedule.
All cargo being held in Perth, Western Australia, will go aboard the
DXpedition ship for a November 1 sailing date.  3Y0PI team members
ON6TT, KK6EK, HB9AHL, JH4RHF, N6EK, PA3DUU, RA3AUU and K0IR are
expected to arrive at Heard Island on or around November 12.  Sea
and weather conditions will no doubt have some bearing on how soon
stations are on the air.  Plans call for CW, SBB, RTTY and satellite
activity until departure on December 1.  Some innovations tested
during the recent XR0Y operation from Easter Island will be used by
the Heard Island team.

Beacon station K6DIR/MM will be activated as the ship weighs anchor
and will remain on the air until the team becomes active from Heard
Island.  A home page on the World Wide Web will be run so amateurs
can see if they are in the log.  QSL via W4FRU.
 
MADAGASCAR, 5R.  Ben, 5R8DS, should remain active on CW, SSB and
AmTOR until November 1 when he returns home.  Try 14015 kHz around
1910z, 24901 kHz around 1319z and 18140 kHz around 1408z.  QSL via
PA3BXC, his home call.  If direct, enclose SASE.
 
ZAIRE, 9R.  Alex, 9Q2L, will operate 9R1A in the CQWW SSB Contest
October 28 and 29.  QSL via PA3DMH.
 
BURUNDI, 9U.  F5FHI and EA1FH will be in the CQWW DX SSB and CW
Contests on all bands. Details and call signs were not mentioned.

SAN ANDRES, HK0.  KH8AL, NL7GP, JI3ERV and JH1NBN will be active
October 27, 28 and 29.  They will sign KH8AL/HK0 during the CQWW DX
SSB Contest.  QSL via JH1NBN.

PRINCIPE ISLAND, S92.  F5OGL, F6AXX, F6BQY, F5HX, F6HHV will sign
S92P from IOTA AF-044 November 21 to December 6.  Activity will be
all bands with CW, SSB and RTTY.  They will also be in the CQWW DX
CW Contest.  QSL via F6KEQ.
 
BENIN AND GHANA, TY and 9G.  A team comprised of G3SXW, GM3YTS,
K5VT, KC7V and N7BG will operate Multi/Multi from Benin during the
CQWW CW Contest in November.  Listen for TY5A.  QSL via GM4AGL.

Outside of contest hours listen for G3SXW as TY5SXW, GM3YTS as
TY5RF, K5VT as TY5VT, KC7V as TY5MF and N7BG as TY5AR.  QSL via home
calls.
 
The team will arrive in Accra, Ghana, and spend a few days operating
some casual CW November 18, 19 and 20.  Listen for G3SXW as 9G5SX,
GM3YTS as 9G5RF, K5VT as 9G5VT, KC7V as 9G5MF and N7BG as 9G5AR. QSL
via home calls.
 
ANTIGUA AND MONTSERRAT, V2 AND VP2M.  JH1NBN will be on vacation
November 23 to 27.  He plans to operate mainly SSB, but with some
CW.  No call signs have been mentioned.  Try 14200 kHz.  QSL via
JH1NBN.
 
MICRONESIA, V6.  Tak, JE1SCJ, and Kuzu, JA0VSH, will sign V63YT and
V63KZ, respectively, operating from Pohnpei October 20 to 25.  Plans
are for CW and SSB on 160 through 6 meters.  No SSB will be operated
during evening hours, their time.  Suggested 160 meter frequencies
are 1824.5 kHz for USA and Japan, and 1827 kHz for Europe.  QSL via
home calls, direct or bureau.
 
CHRISTMAS ISLAND AND INDONESIA, VK9 AND YB0.  Ron, ND3A, will be on
a business trip starting October 16.  He will be in Jakarta for 3 or
4 weeks and then plans a one week vacation on Christmas Island.
From Jakarta he will try to operate as YB0ASI from the station of
AA4U during CQWW SSB Contest.  QSL his YB0ASI operation via WA4FVT.

Rob has license in hand for Christmas Island.  Listen for VK9XRS on
160 to 10 meters, mainly on CW.  If time allows, he may operate
during the CQWW CW Contest.  QSL via ND3A.

CRETE, SV9.  Jukka, OH1JJS, will vacation in Crete October 22 to 29.
Activity will be on all bands with CW and SSB, pending hotel
management approval of antennas.

CORSICA, TK.  Members of the TK-Contest-gang and the Bavarian
Contest Club will be in the CQWW SSB and CW Contests.  Listen for
TK2C.  QSL via DF7RX.

MONGOLIA.  Art, W6XD, and a group from California will sign JT1Z
during the CQWW SSB Contest.  Before contest hours, starting October
25, listen for them signing from the JT1FAU to FAZ call sign block.
They will operate after the contest until October 31.

JORDAN/ISRAEL DXPEDITION.  Listen for 4X7JY and JZ7JY operating from
Mount Nebo, on 160 to 6 meters, CW, SSB and RTTY.

THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  Here are this weekend's operating
