The Stones River Amateur Radio Club meets in Mufreesboro, Tennessee and serves the emergency response organizations, citizens and amateur radio licence holders of Rutherford County and the surrounding counties.

We work closely with:

- The Rutherford County Emergency Management Agency, (and meet in their building);

- The Rutherford County Emergency 911 Center, which provides technical infrastructure and training for the Rutherford County Emergency Dispatchers and maintains a backup communications facilty for them;

- The National Weather Service's Nashville Forecast Station in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, with trained Weather Spotter support ;

- The Heart of Tennessee Chapter of the American Red Cross headquartered in Murfreesboro, Tennessee;

- The Middle Tennessee Emergency Amateur Repeater System, MTEARS, a series of linked repeaters supporting storm spotters reporting to the National Weather Service.

Our members are also active in creating and expanding MeshNet broadband communications in Middle Tennessee.

Our members are interested in and tentatively exploring a relationship with Rutherford County Schools and their STEM programs for Amateur Radio in Middle and High Schools.
