CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, EXAMS 

  • April 20 & 21, 2013 - 8am - 6pm * * Technician Class * *  Outagamie County A.R.E.S. Is conducting a Technician Class to be held at American Red Cross building, 1302 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Appleton, WI.  Bring Lunch, snacks, soda,  paper, pens, and a small calculator. Pre-registration is not required but is appreciated. Please contact Jon Kreski at 920 – 749 – 1041. The Technician amateur radio license exam will be held at 8 am at the same location on Saturday April 27, 2013.

  • September 28 & 29 - 8am - 5pm * * Technician Class  The Space Place Amateur Radio Center, 2300 S. Park St., Madison, Is holding a single weekend Technician Class using the ARRL Technician Class License Manual, pre-study is recommended. A license exam session follows the workshop. The ARRL-required fee is $15 (check or money order is preferred). Bring two forms of identification; one must be a photo ID. For More Information Contact Saraelizabeth

  • To Be Announced - General Class by Wisconsin Valley Radio Association, 2805 Martin Ave., Wausau. Registration is not required but is encouraged, we will be using the ARRL General Class license manual, pre-study is recommended.  Travis Augustine, W9HDG, 715-966-1045.

  • Juneau County Amateur Radio Club has VE testing session at City Hall, 4th Floor, Mansion and Hickory Streets, Mauston. Walk-ins are welcome. Arthur "Bud" Kriese, AB9PB, 608-565-7915, New Lisbon.
  • M&M Amateur Radio Club - Menominee, MI. Use the 147.000 repeater for information. No need to pre-register.
  • Amateur Exam Sessions - List of ARRL license exams to be held in Wisconsin.
  • Dane County Classes: Mt. Horeb High School, Fine Arts Center, 305 S. Eight St., Mt. Horeb; Cottage Grove, Glacial Drumlin School, 801 Damascus Trail (CTH BB), Cottage Grove; Sun Prairie Public Library, 1350 Linnerud Dr., Sun Prairie. J. McLellan, 267-2542.
  • Chippewa Valley Amateur Radio Club has 5 week Amateur Extra Classes with test at St. Joseph Hospital, basement floor, Chippewa Falls. Ron Anderson, W9RMA.
  • Technician License Classes at the MATC Building, 330 W. Collins St., Portage. Books available for $18 payable the first night of the class. The only other expense will be the $15 fee required by the FCC for taking the amateur radio exam at the Portage Library.   • W9PE's Ham Cram - The course given in two, 3-hour sessions, is available as a free power point slide presentation useful to schools and clubs. Over 700 students have used it since 1991 as an aid to pass the FCC exam. Course Information.
