Water taken from highest lake in US (Eastern Sierra) to the lowest (Badwater in Death Valley, below sea level). Father Crowley, the Desert Padre orchestrated the 3 day event to promote tourism in the Eastern Sierra, to aid in replacing farming jobs, etc, do to loss of water pumped to Los Angeles. Road connected Lone Pine with Death Valley, all within Inyo County. Station set-up in Keeler, along the original highway, next to the fire station. www.n6ov.com
