The coal burning steamship is a 105 year old passenger ship, part of the Canadian Pacific Railway. (Built in Glasglow, Scotland 5 years before the Titanic.) It was saved from being scrapped in 1967 by Tower Marine owner R.J. Peterson, brought to Douglas, MI and has been a museum ever since. It will be returned to Canada, leaving May 30, 2012. We have operated from the ship for the International Museum Ship Weekend for several years. It will be leaving only days prior to this year's weekend event. This weekend will be the final American operation from the ship. A group of Canadians have promised to keep up the tradition of operating the Museum Ship Weekend beginning 2013.
