ARRL is proud to honor the generosity of individuals whose lifetime donations to ARRL exceed $10,000 with membership in the ARRL Maxim Society. The Maxim Society embraces individuals who have expressed an extraordinary financial commitment to the work of the ARRL on behalf of Amateur Radio.
Their financial support provides vital revenue to strengthen ARRL financially, to protect the Amateur Radio spectrum, its heritage and traditions and to provide funds to inspire the next generation.
The leadership of Maxim Society donors embodies the vision of ARRL's founder, Hiram Percy Maxim. He envisioned an organization dedicated to encouraging and developing Amateur Radio as a source of enjoyment for radio operators and as a public service to communities nationwide. In 1914 Maxim's inventiveness was sparked by his frustration when he could not make contact with a fellow ham. As he arranged for a relay of his message he conceived of an organization built on the concept of relaying messages that would bind together radio amateurs across the country. With Maxim's leadership the American Radio Relay League was born.
Maxim Society donors nurture the legacy and leadership exhibited by "the Old Man" so many years ago. Their infectious enthusiasm and deep commitment to Amateur Radio and ARRL are evidence of their abiding loyalty. Their willingness to contribute generously to the work of ARRL is evidence of a remarkable dedication to the vision of Hiram Percy Maxim.
When you make substantial financial commitments to ARRL exceeding $10,000 in lifetime contributions, you will be invited to be part of The ARRL Maxim Society.
