DXpeditioners are encouraged to upload their logs to Logbook of The World.  Using LoTW to confirm a contact does not replace the colorful, commemorative QSL cards that many DXpeditions produce and DXers love to collect.  On the contrary, using LoTW to confirm the QSO ensures verification of the QSO.  Using LoTW assures there is no chance of losing the QSL card in the mail.

The QSL manager or log manager for the DXpedition can simply request an unsigned certificate for the call sign used during the event.  If the call used was a special 1x1 call, the certificate must be signed.  Please see the the section on 1x1 calls for instructions for these certificates.
