2017 was the first year that I planned to fully participate in the HF Championship from my beach front summer home on the north shore of Puerto Rico.  CW was the logical mode of choice given the low power output of my Elecraft KX3 radio, the balcony mounted Buddistick antenna and the low solar flux.  I used my previous week's WSPR station spot data to schedule rest periods and operating times and bands to maximize the QSO yield.  I was rewarded with an all time record Zone 11 score in the CW QRP Category!
