07/07/2004 | K1KI/M Had a great time touring Field Day sites around Connecticut this year.
I visited 13 FD sites - and missed two others because of bad directions and had to skip one that was too far out of the way. Ended up putting about 475 miles on the car over two days.

Between FD visits I operated CW mobile while driving - but only when the traffic was light and driving was easy... Ended up with over 300 QSOs using my TS-2000 and a couple of whips antennas on a VW New Beetle. The new ARRL Radio Communication magnetic sign on the side of the car generated a lot of good attention.
