07/30/2004 | K4HRS The 2004 Harris Intersil ARC (K4HRS) field day was a great success! We set up at Wickham Park in Melbourne, Florida. Heat, humidity and area thunderstorms provided the usual backdrop for a Florida FD. We got a pretty good lightning show but no rain, which was a first in local memory. We had a fantastic antenna: a 5 element 20 meter monoband yagi up 70 feet on a cherry picker! This antenna was pointed West and gave us strong reports throughout the contest. An 80 m dipole hung just below the 20 M beam and a 20-15-10 m beam at 20 ft rounded out the antenna farm.
