07/24/2004 | W1JQ As usual, a fragmented, scattered operation. I put in more time than I thought I would--largely because I had plumbers here replacing the pump in the well, and operating Saturday morning kept me from thinking about the size of the check. Conditions were a surprise--10M opened to Europe during the day; after being weak all day, 15 suddenly heated up in the late afternoon, and 20 was really hot at night. I probably missed the best conditions on each band (town fireworks Saturday evening, and so on), but it was still fun. -- W1JQ
