Condx super on Friday night/Saturday day, getting numerous "nice sig" comments after they copied my Prec. "Q."
Sunday was the pits with the aurora flutter. It seemed to form
an iron curtain as far as trying to get a QRP signal out. 15 & 20
meters opened up nicely late Sunday afternoon, but I didn't work
many more new stns.
Special tnx to W6RQ. He wins the "reception of pig sig patience
award." I think he was 10 minutes getting my exchange. That
takes class! He was at 505 Q's less than 1/2 way thru the
contest when he plucked my ittybittypiggysiggy outa da ether.
Claimed score: 40,320
QSOs: 288
Sections: 70
As Murphy would have it, my laptop computer lost its OS just a
couple days before the contest. I was forced to log and dupe
manually. What a pain! Still, the contest was a lot of fun.
A lot of great CW ops out there and never once did I hear any
"bad words" regarding stealing freqs., QRMing, etc. CU in '05!
Who sez CW is dead? Long may it live!
