2004 ARRL November Sweepstakes (Phone)

11/25/2004 | KG5VK KG5VK Team of North Louisiana versus W5DDX the Southern Boys of Lafayette

Right now it looks like the effort we mounted at KG5VK was just short of taking First place in Louisiana.

W5DDX reports they had 1473 Qs to our 1353
Giving them first place with 234,770 points to our
210,880 points.

A difference of just 120 QSOs !

But I bet we had the most fun !
We definitely had more operators (their two to our ten)

I take fault for being short of Qs
My mistake was not keeping a closer eye for the Ten meter opening
and not working more qs on 75 meters.

This was a close race !

If I had watched for the Ten meter opening things may have ended much different, we had zero qs on 10 meters and only 3 qs on 75 meters

I am already planning on two wire beams for 75 meters for 2005
So those Lafayette boys had better look out, because us guys to the North might Just kick butt next year !
