12/07/2004 | W4NF Thanks again to my brother Bill W4RM for making his station available to me for SS Phone. I was hoping to improve on my 4th place Unlimited Class finish from last year but came up a bit short.

Bill and I reconfigured his normal Multi Two station into a first rate SO2R setup with two FT1000MPs, two Alpha 99s and all the accessories needed to do the job. We climbed the tower and swung the bottom C31XR (of the 3 stack) to the West.

He also left up the temporary C3E (on a mast in his driveway), his wife, Lori, is very understanding. This antenna was used on the second radio when I had the full 3 stack pointing out west.

It all worked perfectly and it was quite fun. The Yukon was out in force this year and a Sweep was not a problem. Thanks for all the Qs and I'll CU all next year. -- W4NF @ W4RM
