12/07/2004 | VE7CA This is one of my favourite contests because during day light hours I can be doing other things. I found that band conditions from the West Coast only fair, as I never had a good opening to the east coast. However, I was pleasantly surprised to not only hear but also work my first JA station on my first call and later have another JA call me just at sunrise on Sunday morning. Only worked 35 sections and no Hawaii or Alaska which is rare. Good fun even with having to listen to all the RFI that goes along with living in a city.

Equipment: Homebrew 100 Watt transceiver.
Antenna: Top Loaded T ant. for transmit and coax loop for receive.
