Well that certainly was an interesting weekend. It was my lowest score ever. I actually tried seriously for a while but then just gave up and hunting and pecked. It was fun but I can't remember worse contest conditions since I was licensed in 1982. The only hi-light was working ZL1V at +20 over 9 at 2pm AST. He was the strongest I have ever heard a ZL1 on 10 metres and I never heard them that early in the day before. At the time I couldn't hear anyone else literally but here was a New Zealand station pounding in at +20. Early in the day the skip was so short I worked Halifax from here which normally impossible. So conditions were truly weird and bewildering on this side. The radio gods can be cruel and strange it seems. 73 and hope to work a few next week in the RAC Winter contest. -- VE9NC
