12/30/2004 | KE7NO I hope others had a great contest. Conditions provided a very poor weekend here at my QTH. Both days consisted of a QSB ridden opening to FLA and LU. It is bizzare to see how lousy you can do without sunspot support. There were a few contacts other than FLA and LU but were VERY scattered. There were very weak openings to the South Pacific (usually a piece of cake from here) with several "almost QSO's" where they would get part of my call and then disappear. During the last hour and a half, conditions changed and I made as many Q's as I could. Too late though. I would say the openings were north / south, however, no one in BC, AB, or SK answered me. Too bad it only looks to get worse for a while!
