01/03/2005 | N8XMS I enjoyed making 14 SKN QSO's this year. I stayed on 40 meters with an Elecraft K1 running 4 watts into a Cushcraft R7 vertical. My key was a rectangular Speed-X with a Navy knob. I really enjoyed working so many people who were running vintage gear. I also heard a lot of good fists, but my vote for best fist goes to K6XX. Most interesting QSO is a tie between N6SL and N9NM. Keep pounding the brass and I hope to see all of you again next year. -- N8XMS
