01/19/2005 | W1AA SKN is a fun event, with time to pass more than a signal report. We were using the Marconi Radio Club Call W1AA. The transmitter was from an April 1956 CQ Magazine, the Mighty 4 Watter, a rebuild of our station from 1957. A single 50L6 tube puts out 2 watts, crystal controlled on 80/40/20. We worked 31 stations, including one DX station I1MQ XYL "Ada" on 20 CW. We will be back next year. 73 Whitey K1VV -- K1VV
