01/28/2005 | N6TEB/R Made the January Rover trip once again with Glenn KE6HPZ as my second op. Glenn runs the back seat handling 222 and above while I hang out on 2 and 6 in the front seat. Wx was great except for some really thick fog coming through DM05. We activated 11 grids running 11 bands, 50 10 GHz plus light. We never had any real DX opening except one shot into CN70 from DM07. Thanks to by good fiends Paul N6EB and Neil N6VHF who followed pretty much the same path we did so we where able to make at least one contact in every grid we activated. We had a great time and caught up with Pat N6RMJ/R with his second op Dick WB6JDH at the four corners of Kettleman City at the end of the contest and where able to dine in style at the local In and Out when the contest was over. -- N6TEB
