02/26/2005 | N9TTX My goal was to beat my score from last year and the start of the contest seemed to show that it was not going ot happen. I did not put up the 160M vertical, and 80Meters was dead for me...only 3 contacts. 40 meters was slow as was 10. Then 15 meters picked up both Saturday and Sunday and it was the breadwinner. I picked up a few more new countries (various bands) for my multiband DXCC goals, and felt good when my meager 125-150W into a cushcraft A3 or G5RV at about 25 feet made it through a few heavy pileups on first or second call. Hope to hear everyone during the SSB contest.
