03/13/2005 | GW7X GW7X is the call sign of Contest Cambria (a group of like-minded contest enthusuiasts located in Wales).

During the CW section the call was aired by Clive, GW3NJW, from his QTH near Cardiff on 15 meters; two weeks later I thought it would be a good idea to do the same band on 'Phone and so operated GW7X from my own station here in Newport, South Wales.

Over 1200 contacts were made on day one (Saturday), but only around 50 on the Sunday - as everyone knows, conditions were really tough!
