06/13/2005 | K9GY Operated QRP from Shenandoah National Park (FM08) at approx 3,600 feet with 2m (4 ele beam), 6m (hamstick type vertical), 432 (rubber duck antenna). I had a lot of FUN!

Some people thought I was tracking animals in the park!

Heard VP5/N4VHF on 50.110 at 0055z 12-Jun-2005. Heard him for less
than five minutes. I gave my call but all he got was "yankee".

Ended up sleeping in the back seat of the car Saturday night, hah!
The campgrounds fill up quickly and I wanted to spend time on the radio versus setting up a tent, hah!

Unfortunately at 1330z 12-Jun-2005 I had to leave in order to go to work. So I missed the Sunday aurora opening :-(
