06/16/2005 | KM5PO This was our first effort and did we ever have fun! Our infrastructure engineer (Phil, KC5SCH) was kept busy fixing stuff including a climb up the tower about 1 hour into the contest. Lee, N5TIF was super busy at the second op position with E's on 6 most of the day Saturday. We snagged 9 contacts in 4 grids with a pair of brief openings on 144 Mhz Saturday and even managed 1 aurora contact Sunday way down south here in Fort Worth, Texas. Steve, KL7IZW was our digital operator and he managed 12 contacts on meteor scatter in the wee hours between 6 & 2 meters. Tad, K3TD came on Sunday morning to give us relief on the first operating position and pulled in many 144 and 432 contacts! We are looking forward to working again.
