06/20/2005 | WA6BDC/7 Operated in DM18--on a hilltop, just outside of Tonopah,NV.... Very poor on 2 & 6...Calling on calling frequencys produced very few responses...... If it had not been for W6DWI--DM16--on Telescope mtn., above Death Valley, I would not raised anyone in So. Cal at all.....Fighting 30-40mph winds, trying to raise two yagis, while on cruthces is not "fun"....Made a whole 10 contacts for sundays operation......Need for some kind of "blog" to let stations in major metropoliton areas to listen on other than calling frequencies......The path to DM03--N6KN--on Ranco P.V.--on sunday afternoon--was a no go., on 2m....6 opened up on Sat evening--16 stations in the NW...
