After a good breakfast meeting the Medina 2 Meter Group headed to the county park to set up for Field Day, we were ready to go and on the air at starting time. The two hour thunder storm we got Saturday evening allowed all of us to share a picnic style dinner all together instead of in shifts. After the storm passed we got back at the contest and everyone had a great time. 40 meters was the hot band and 80 was right behind it. Even 20 meters was respectable. Our antenna farm consisted of a tribander at 40' on a trailer tower, 6 and 2 at 40' on a trailer tower, a 40 meter ground plane, a 40 meter dipole at 60'in the trees, a rotatable dipole for 10/15/20 at 30', a 1/4 wave 80 meter vertical of Rohn 25, and a 80 meter full wave vertical loop suspended at 200' by a balloon. Our best effort in 3A to date. Already have some new ideas for next year. -- K8FH
