2005 ARRL Field Day
Rich KC2HZW again provided some great antennas which kept our signal strong throughout the event. Cliff KC2CXL showed off his ARES/RACES jump bag. Talk about being prepared, hes got everything but the kitchen sink! That equipment served as a great introduction to our visitors about emergency preparedness.
Brad KC2CGI made sure the crowd was fed during the event. John NS2M worked up an appetite on Saturday evening working all states on 40 meters (I think the band was longhe might have missed Connecticut.
Well after working a pile up on Sunday I got up to get coffee and something to eat and who caught me? Emily AC2V said I had not worked hard enough and demanded I fill an additional 25 log sheets before I am allowed 5 minutes off!
Gee talk about a slave driver!
Thanks to all that came out and participated. Special thanks to Rich KC2HZW for all his work. If you missed Field Day this year make it a point get out and participate next year, we at the Yonkers Amateur Radio Club will be looking for you! -- W2CZ
