07/03/2005 | K7GGG This year the 1B team of Gary, K7GGG and Jack, W7JLC doubled our previous best QSO count. Thanks to great action on 40 meters Saturday evening we went over 1000 (actually 1096) QSOs. There was a pile-up that kept responded to our CQ for six hours straight. Such fun and beautiful Arizona weather as well. Jack, W7JLC is at the controls in the accompanying picture. The field-day site is 30 miles north of Payson Arizona at 7100 feet of cool elevation in the Coconino National Forest. 73 from Gary and Jack -- K7GGG
