My twin brother and I operated as 1B from Clinton County, Kentucky. Our family owns a couple of farms near the small town of Albany in Southern Kentucky. Could we have been the only twins to operate as 1B in all of Field Day this year? I have to wonder about that. We get bonus points for that right? Despite a little rain on Saturday afternoon, we had great weather, and Field Day 2007 was a lot of fun. We used a simple 20 meter Hamstick mounted on a piece of sheet metal, with ground radials running off of it. We managed 77 contacts. I heard very little activity on 15 meters this year and nothing on 10 meters. 20 meters was pretty much the daytime band to be on. Camping out in the open cow pasture and doing Field Day is always a lot of fun, just watch where you step. I just can't wait until the bands come back to life in a few years and Field Day really gets hopping. 73, to all who worked us this year! -- KU4UV
