07/03/2007 | K7Q The Dixie Renegades were 3A, back on the air for FD2007 from the St. George, Utah Elks Lodge. The lodge has a large open-air covered pavilion which we reserved for the weekend. It kept us out of the sun and rather cool compared to last year. Plus there was lots of room to string out several antennas.

Participants were Ric K7DLX, Jim WI7J, John (flew in from California) K6MJB and Dave K7VNH. Others who participated were Butch KA6EMS and Marya N7KEC, along with a couple of Boy Scouts who dropped by and operated Saturday night.

Propagation seemed horrible the first day. It picked up on Saturday night through Sunday morning and we finished with only 246 Qs. -- K7DLX
