07/04/2007 | WA5ZNU WA5ZNU and KI6IMM and the rest of the family found ourselves traveling on Field Day, but we had a couple of hours to set up in the hotel parking lot with an Elecraft K2 and Buddipole and had a good time. We brought copies of the ARRL EMCOMM brochure for our public information table, and made mostly 20m and 40m CW contacts, with one SSB contact at 5W just to say we did. When we packed up, the battery was still fully charged, thanks to our flexible solar panel. -- WA5ZNU
