07/05/2007 | W8WE Another Field Day is in the logs. Intercity Amateur Radio Club in Mansfield Richland County Ohio had our yearly field day at a new Site Therm-o-Disc Recreation Park. The Park was a great site BIG THANKS to Rob Ruth KD8AZQ's Father for the Idea. Lots of tall trees so lots of great high antennas. We use mostly the G5RV Antennas for our CW,SSB,DIGITAL MODES. We had a wonderful crowd on Saturday for our 2nd annual hog roast and got a lot of great operators and some first timers to the digital modes. We had SSTV,ATV,APRS Demo's to show the first timers too. I want to Send Out a BIG Thanks to Our Commissioners for making a proclamation for making that week AMATEUR RADIO WEEK in Richland County. Of Coarse remember WHEN ALL ELSE FAIL AMATEUR RADIO. See everyone next year at Field Day 2008. Hope everyone learned something and got there belly full.
