07/10/2007 | KH6RS The Maui Amateur radio club held it's 2007 Field Day exercise at beautiful Hookipa on the North Shore of Maui, in the Hawaiian Islands. The club was definitely Bitten by the Bug as this was our documented 50th year operating Field Day from this location.
We operated with one transmitter on 20 and 15 meters using a triband yagi and a sloper on 40 meters. We ran on generator power for a Kenwood TS-440 and an Ameritron amplifier. We made 518 QSOs comprised of SSB and CW contacts with a number of operators from our field day site. Thanks for all for the contacts and fun. -- N0DQD
