I'm just 17 years old and I've only been operating CW since last September, so this was my first full CW effort in a contest and I managed to work over 700 QSOs with my 100 watts and a few wires, so I am pretty happy with how everything ended up. I managed to work all 24 hours, but the last 2 sure were tough to stick out! I would have liked to work a few more zones and a few more HQ stations to help shoot up the score a bit higher, but overall, I'm happy.
It was good to hear 10 and 15 open on Saturday, hopefully signs of things soon to come. I live in SC so it looks like I'm here to give AI4MT a little competition for the SO CW LP state certificates in these contests.
I used a FT857 with a G5RV for 80/40/15m, a vertical dipole for 20m.
I had a great time and will be back for another one next year!
