09/18/2007 | K H 6 W Z The September contest turned out to be another great weekend, with cooler weather. This time I roved "the coastal route" with Glennnn KE6HPZ, Larry KG6EG and Dick WB6JDH.

The early morning "marine layer" (fog) did not seem to hinder our contacts with the XE2 team, this time in DL29ds (near San Antonio, in Baja California, Mexico).

The highlight of the weekend happened whilst in Ventura (DM04ig), with a visit from the Red Bull ladies, Julie and Ashley. They were roving in their customized Red Bull Mini Cooper. The shot of caffiene and their friendliness helped increase the rates for some of us. -- KH6WZ
