09/18/2007 | K6JEY My wife Helen,KI6LQV, got her call a week before the second week of the contest and was very excited to join the activity. I also had rigs ready for 10,24,47and 79GHz. This was to be a two operator four band effort. Our first location was on Mt. Pinos pointed at Mt. Frazier to work AD6FP. We were very happy that both of us could work Gary on all four bands and use 24GHz as a liaison! Good to great signals. In addition, we worked the stations in Mexico from several stops. Sunday we worked on only two bands and stayed around Long Beach, CA. An extra special weekend. What a way for one's wife to start a ham career. Doug K6JEY -- K6JEY
