Wow, what a good time!! Our score was three times better than last year. We had a nice opening on 6 meters and pretty good enhancement on the other bands. The 1296 rig let it's smoke out early so it had to be replaced with another that still had smoke intact. There were 3 new operators this contest and they did a great job. The 4-corner grid location to the northeast got a good workout with the ham club from Pond Creek High School stopping by to work us on as many bands/rigs as they had. Other rovers at the 4-corners and other grids are also appreciated. KB0HH had only to cook and operate an occasional CW contact! A few of the ops came early enough to enjoy the wildlife out back. The crew is already looking forward to the January contest. Many thanks to KE5AUI, KC5VML, KE5HQR, and KC5DPT for the great effort. When the ops were asked "what should be changed for next contest?" Tad, KC5DPT said "bring 20 lb test line"! He got his busted out back fishing. 73, Gary -- KB0HH
