2007 ARRL September VHF Contest
Once again, I operated from Highpoint State Park, NJ. (FN21qh). The highest point in New Jersey. There was intermittant rain and thunderstorms on Saturday and I was almost considering it quits.
Had difficulty making 903 and 1296 contacts. The next day I discovered I had the antenna cables swapped.
I must congratulate W1AUV/R. This time as well as many times in the past his persistance paid off. Operating from FN31it and blocked by trees in my direction he bounced his 10GHz signal off a nearby tower and we completed the exchange.
Forced to shut down 5 or 6 hours before the end of the contest since the park closes at 8pm local time and it takes 1 to 2 hours for me to take down the antennas. -- K2KIB
