2007 ARRL September VHF Contest

09/14/2007 | N6NB/R We had a lot of fun roving from DM13 (Orange County, CA) to CM89 (near Arbuckle, CA), activating 15 grids altogether.

Activity was light in greater L.A., probably because the contest was the same weekend as the ARRL Southwestern Division convention. Once we reached the San Joaquin Valley, activity picked up considerably.

I would particularly like to thank Bryan Sorensen, KI6AAY, for giving us DM12 on 10 bands with his rover expedition to Mt. Soledad in La Jolla near San Diego. His signal was solid into L.A. all the way up to 10 GHz.

Thanks to everyone who worked us! It was another memorable weekend with only minor problems (as shown in the photos).

73,
Wayne -- N6NB
