WW1M/R
This was my first time out with anything higher than 1296. Saturday was very hot and humid, while Sunday it rained most of the day. Still, there were no big problems. All the gear worked. Special thanks go to K1WHS, K1DY, and N1DPM for helping me get everything together and working, and to N1DPM for the loan of the microwave gear. As always, I have a few ideas for improvements for next time, but I think we're on the right track. The horns for 5.7 and 10 worked better than we thought they would, and they certainly were easy to attach to the rack when I arrived at my operating locations. No computer logging this time, but paper logging is pretty easy in a rover. Also, first time with an inverter powered rotator; a little noise on 6 and negligible on the higher bands. Next up: January!
