09/24/2007 | WA2BTR I operated from my little cabin on a lake in Maine. (FN54) This turned out to be my best effort from Maine. Although the conditions were marginal, I dramatically increased my numbers over September 2006. Ended up with 56 QSOs and 1,755 points. I got up off and on during the night hoping for a repeat of 2005s aurorabut it wasnt to be! Every once in awhile I heard a short pop of some enhanced propagation, but not sustained enough for any contacts. Only ran the bottom four bands this time, which made set-up and break-down much quicker. This weekend also coincided with the Windsor, ME.
