11/05/2007 | KB7Q Even being QRP I had great expectations of being able to run stations on 15 meters like I did last year. NOT! Would you believe just 17 contacts? This year's Sweepstakes turned into a search and pounce slugfest. My hourly rate never got above the high 30's, but I figured everybody else faced the same challenges so I sat in the chair and kept grinding on. It paid off with 95.4K points raw score.

This far north 20 meters was the money band; I made almost half of my contacts there. Of course the 90' vertical on 80 meters was quite the tool too, it kept things moving forward after sunset.
