Took 2 days off of work before SS to do antenna work. One problem after another had me scrambling to finish before the start of the contest. Had to skip a number of things that I wanted to get done but did manage to have my antennas operational in time. Managed to work 77 sections this year, missed WTX, ME, and NL. Pleasant surprise to have VY1JA call me just over an hour into the contest - how's that for having tough mults come to your front doorstep? 15 meters was decent but not enough people were taking advantage of it. For some reason, 40 and 80 meters here don't really "come in" until the late evening/early morning hours - really kills the QSO count but managed to keep pounding away and put contacts in the log. Did all exchanges this year by hand - no computer generated CW for those. Logging program performed flawlessly (N3FJP) but I had the initial time setting incorrect so had to hand correct the first 300 or so QSOs to get the time right. Still managed a personal best number of QSOs and score so I'm declaring victory. 73. -- KN7T
