11/19/2007 | N8QE Only spent a couple hours operating during the contest Sunday morning. I watched the exciting Browns and Ravens football game in the afternoon. I was operating QRP with 5 watts from my new ARRL auction purchased FT-2000 Yaesu Transceiver into a Windom antenna at 25 feet. The receiver in this transceiver is just great compared to the one in the FT-817 Yaesu QRP Transceiver I had been using for the past 3 years. That built-in speech processor really helps too. Band conditions were not good, but I was able to make the majority of my contacts on the less crowded 15 meter band. I had fun..........Bob -- N8QE
